Our 13th edition of In Search of the Divine, www.InSearchOfTheDivine.org, looks at dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Over the course of several years, we visited with Sister Gina and her housemate, Sister Susan as they navigate the slow but steady process of Sister Gina’s memory loss. Along the way, we learn about the disease from internist and geriatrician, Dr. John Mielke, social worker Meghan Constantine who is helping make communities dementia friendly, and chaplain David Rothstein. Each interview provides experienced-based and sometimes impassioned perspectives on the disease and helpful ways to journey with or through it.
